Tax credits must be renewed with HMRC by 31st July 2016 latest. If this deadline is missed, tax credits will be stopped (both child tax and working tax credits).
Anyone with tax credits either should have already received their renewal pack or will receive it shortly. If not received by 27th June you need to contact HMRC.
Income for the 2015/2016 needs to be entered, or if you’ve not got everything prepared an estimate can be entered based on last year and the correct figure given to HMRC at a later date.
Renewals can be done online, by post or by phone. Once the details have been given to HMRC, you’ll get your award notice within 8 weeks.

- Total income for the last year (for you and your partner if applicable)
- 15 digit renewal number
